Killorglin is located right in the heart of Mid Kerry conveniently only 13 miles from Killarney.
Every 10th, 11th and 12th of August Killorglin host’s Puck Fair, Ireland’s oldest festival. It is not known exactly when the fair began but there is the story that a fleeing herd of goats, led by a magnificent puck, warned the townspeople of approaching Cromwellian soldiers. It is much more likely that the origins lie in pagan fertility celebrations.
The fair features music, events and carnival fun with Ireland’s biggest musical talents.
